Tried, tested and loved: These are the brow products R29 editors buy again and again

I recently saw a video on TikTok of a girl wearing half of her makeup the way it would be today and the other half the way it would be in 2016. What caught my eye wasn't the lighter concealer coverage or our newfound love for nose blush (both of which are definitely 2023).

But the way she drew her brows was 2016—her brows were dark and arched; Kim Kardashian used concealer to create sharp brows. 2023 - She has the opposite: thick, fluffy, soapy brows, with hair pushed upwards to accentuate the face.

Fashion trends aside, the way we draw our brows is of course a very personal matter - each of us knows what works best for our face shape. But there's no denying that brows are often the first feature we enjoy from new treatments, applications and products, whether we're laminating, bleaching, tinting

microshading, highlighting, fake tanning or shaving them off entirely ; Go to the salon and spend a little money to get the perfect look. But if you think you need to cut back on your monthly pint budget for a pair, think again.

In the beauty sections of your local Boots and our favorite beauty retailers, you'll find everything you need to achieve your best brows at home, whether you're a brow girl in 2016 or 2023 - you don't need the help of a specialist.

We scoured the "best of" beauty reviews and asked the Refinery29 office about the best brow products our team actually uses, from standard gels, powders, and pencils to serums, treatments, and tools.
